hey guys lets talk about the movies we've watched and those we would love to watch.
i'll go first..
my all time favourite
countdown;
10. Emperor's New Groove..witty
9. Earthsea, harry potter, lord of the rings..
8. Shakespear In Love...
7. Duplex
6. Pink Panther
5. Bringing Down The House.. any time of any day. its THAT coolCool
4. Undercover Brother...that 'fro' is to die for
3. Grease!! i can watch this 1001 times
2. Shark Tale..love them 'rasta' jelly fish, "respect"
1. Findidng Nemo..."Fish are friends,not food"Big Grin
1. Rocky!! i love this guy
1. TERMINATOR! "i'll be back"Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin

ok,i've watched "The Last King Of Scotland" and well, it was good, too kizungu though. Didnt like it that much. but i'd watch it again.i think Forest is a talented actor,he WAS Amin! For a second i believed that Amin DID actually look like that till i saw the photos in the end. He's good. but i think life back then was much worse than what is in the movie.
i recommend it.

I recommend the new movie

"Blood Diamonds"

Could have been a bit more "deep" in terms of complexity of the story line etc but on other hand the poor americans audience (the big market) have to understand to.

Wish next line of movies form those film makers could be:
"Blood Oil"
"Blood Cupper"
"Blood Mining in Africa in General"
Etc.

Yes I have watched and I surely know that any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction.

I have watched a copuple of those, but I would rank them differently

Harry potter....too much kid stuff for my liking
lord of the rings...pretty scary, especially the return of the king.
Duplex...yes cool stuff, Barrymore and Stiller are just great
Bringing Down The House... For no reason at all, Queen Latifa doesn't impress me
Undercover Brother...the kid is great, but the character inconsistent
Shark Tale... well, cartoon, Id rather have 'Mulan'
Findidng Nemo... I dont understand why the movie was a hit
Rocky!! ...Too oldskool.
TERMINATOR!...I am begin to dislike Arnie, since he became a politician.

My choices are
1. The green Mile
2. Heaven and Earth
3. Erin Brokovich
4. The'Star Wars' series
5. The Spiderman
6. The Big Fish

Did you know that some american states have stopped Harry Potter.
They don't want their kids to learn about witch craft etc...

Wonder what the same christian extremists think of:
Lord of The Rings is great. After reading the books as a teenager it was amazing to see the moives.
Usually it's not, to read a story and then see someone's vision of it, but this was different.

My top list at the moment
- Pan's Labyrinth by director Guillermo del Toro

I was really suprised. Great movie! Did not read about before seeing it.
A beautiful view and escape from violence of a child and a good picture of the sick Spain under fascist leader Franco.

- Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
Violent, English black comedy by Guy Ritchie
Introduces actors Vincent Jones and Jason Statham (later in Revolver and in Snatch)

- Snatch
Same director and now with Brad Pitt (probably one of his best performances ever)

- The Italian Job

(I heard The Brazilian Job will come 2008!)

- Frank Millers, Sin City (as a comic fan)

Ups, lots of violence here. Sorry. Like drama to. Promise.

Will see "The Last King Of Scotland" next week, in Kampala!
Guess thats where it should be seen.

Maria,
The LOTR did not freak me, though some scenes were really dramatic
Nancy...that old woman. I have never wanted an old woman to die as I did this one.
Balboa? ... I will only watch it all the movies in the store run out

I am actually looking forward to Spiderman III.

You said you did not like the star wars? I especially liked the last episode where this freaky creature speaks in Kikuyu.

I will be looking for The Skeleton Key. I enjoy horrors and other scary stuff, but I do not like it when someone is tortured continually beyond endurance. That is why I did not enjoy The passion of the Christ, or the American Haunting.
