Wangu, I think you are taking superstition a little too far. I googled and this is what I got: Answer: Stripes on US flag Well, the 13 stripes represent the original 13 colonies of the U.S.A.. It used to be 1 stripe and star for each state, but with each new state that joined, another stripe and star had to be added. Eventually, there were so many stripes, it was decided that there would be only 13 stripes to honor the first 13 colonies and just a star for each state. I don't really know why the stripes are colored white and red.

It is my believe that The use has fundamental structure that no president can dismantle within his/her lifetime, no matter how much they try. Clinton was successful not because he was good, but simply bacause laid down structures favored his policies at that point in history.Likewise, Bush is being considered bad bacause he is leading at a very tricky period. The failure of The US policies at this time has nothing to do with Bush' leadership, but the whole American institutions. Stlll I believe that as a person, he is a decent hones, person.

Papa Daad, You see when we are talking about Bush, it is good to give him his due, and also criticize him whne he does wrong. Let us look at it this way, for the majority in this forum, mention the issue of abortion, gay andlesbian issues and they will have 100 Bushes than a liberal Democrat like Kennedy. Yet the same people expect an angel out of him. No we cannot have our cake and eat it.

for once,i side with you Sajini. how are you?
America has a plan. All its presidents have been and are continuing to be puppets. Clinton=Bush, difference comes in cuz they both got their own style when it comes to leadership. Now,I believe that this plan is to rule the universe. And they are doing well so far. Bravo to them. Bush is a good guy,and He is cool too with his accent. America is the enemy.
