Aug 2 - Courage Comes From Faith

"Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."
(Joshua 1:9)

Courage comes from trusting God. It can't be mentally drummed up. It comes from believing what God says regardless of what the circumstances look like. Courage comes from faith!

Verse: 1 Peter 5:6
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time.

- God works in ways we do not always understand.
- Under God's hand we must humble ourselves.
- But it is the same hand that will lift us up.
- There is a time when God works in us.
- There is also a time when God lifts us up!

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for this great promise and for what you are doing in my life today. It is reassuring to know that You know the best time for everything. Amen.

Rejoice in the Lord Always.


"Rejoice in the Lord always. And again I say rejoice!" (Philippians
4:4,).

Rejoicing opens the door for victory in your
life. When you rejoice and worship the Lord, you are making a
declaration that your God is bigger than your problems! You are making
a declaration that you trust Him! Now you may be thinking, "What if I don't feel like rejoicing?". You can choose to rejoice with your words and with your actions,
no matter what you may be feeling. You may have to do what David did
in Psalm 103, and actually tell yourself, "Bless the Lord oh my soul
and all that is within me." When you make the choice to rejoice
always, God will pour out His supernatural joy and strength upon you
so you can live in victory in every area of your life today!


Dear Heavenly father, thank You for the joy in my life that brings freedom to my soul. I
choose to rejoice in You always. I choose to declare Your goodness and
faithfulness in all things. I bless Your name today. In Jesus' Name.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your protection and blessing upon us in this land. Forgive us for the many ways in which we have failed You and sinned against You. Lord, I am reminded of Psalms 20:7 which says, "Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God." Dear Lord, I voice my trust in You, and declare that we shall be delivered as a nation! Bring revival to our land and heal us. Work in my own heart, and give me a more sacrificing spirit that will give up things I want to do and do only Your will. Let revival begin in me. I ask this in the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ.
