The secessionist leader had crafted a skillful way to federalize national thought through manipulation of regionalism and dependence on anti-establishment insurrectionists. This would win him clout among the under-privileged classes but an impendency to scare the ruling elite far more tutored over the years that appeasement is the first casualty of a Nation's soul.
I beg sense for crucial reasons I detail below would make it ever more plausible to shift the US and Allied Forces Command Center in Iraq to the East African Nation of Kenya.
1. Raila has an agenda he does not comprehend. Full of repercussions and out to satiate an unquenchable thirst for power.
2. Regionalism achieved through Political Opportunism and Buyouts will eventually lead to a Rwanda style genocide in Kenya.
3. Re-distribution of land and properties with deal a death blow to Kenya's nascent agricultural economy. A formidable weapon he has used to intimidate many especially in the ruling elite past and present. He treads very close to Mugabe's unilateralism only that he stands untested.
4. Devolution of Government resources and State Wealth to uplift certain areas he has repeatedly claimed to have been deprived bespeaks good. This pre-arrangement only enhances a structured Government of favoritism and mala fide tokenism. The beneficiaries in a country where the rural population consists 65% and of an agrarian nature will end up depending on Government largesse and welfare handouts. This will cripple the Agricultural economy and reduce it to a miniscule. How will that ever be undone in subsequent years? Zimbabwe former breadbasket of Southern Africa can not feed itself now due to such mundane policies.
5. The future of the Horn of Africa, Central and North Eastern Africa is awash with oil reserves. New oil wells are being discovered in their dozens. The stability of the region, their viable exploitation and most probably piping will depend on how homogenous the structure of Governments in the area will be. The rise and spread of Islamic fundamentalism, the ever increasing fear of terror attacks and the spread of intercine conflicts will potentially undermine world energy supplies; that are from gas, oil to mineral reserves. Regional Governments being advocated by Raila already have their Makeup's in the leaders who support him.
Ruto William a leader, charged with massive corruption of looting notified forest land from a Government parastatal heads a regional block more synonymous with genocides now.
Moses Mudavadi, another insurrectionist famously and adversely mentioned as former finance minister of looting the coffers of Government through fake Gold imports hence the Goldenberg scandal.
Najib Balala, a naturalized Kenyan from Yemen. Yemen and regions abode are slowly exporting facilitating entry of who buy Kenyan citizenry and re-settle in other countries.
Henry Kosgey, shown on CNN "living with corruption" by award winning journalist Soriou Samura typifies a man who has robbed peasants of their land and remarkably survives to re-emerge again.
The western world or the world at large should be aware that the intercene conflicts in Kenya are very political in nature. The social fabric even though pragmatic and having evolved over many years can be rumbled and then shackled by the unconventionality of experimental leadership and unorthodox appeasement.
RAILA ODINGA NOT NOW NOT TOMORROW.

Kabura Just so you know, there's a list that contains such names as Kibaki, Michuki, Kenyatta, Murungi, Thuo, Muhoho, Mugo, Saitoti and so on... being associated with negativity. Just ask ODM supporters.
How can you stay with your neighbor, who supports these guys and believes they are innocent?
There are two sides to the coin.
What's your proposed plan to end the current tribal violence?

It seems to me that the idea of distributing power and means have been seriously misunderstood in Kenya. It is about defending on of the most important part of a democracy. Look at any other rather well working democracy. You can not have a bunch of greedy politicians that have total power of every little thing and also be in charge of the cash that will be used int every corner of the country. Where I am approx 70% of the total national budget is used in the "districts" (local authorities). 20% for health and public transport on a provicial level (county councils) and the rest for national purposes. The 90% not used for national purposes are directly distributed to where it is used. By law! No fatty nepotist minister or his buddies in the gov departments have any chance to skim off the cash before it reach the teachers in the bush! And of course every level authority is continuously under auditing. And the auditing can never be interfered by any politician! I think a serious deistrbution of power and means in Kenya is needed to develop the country in the right direction.

I can understand the fear of islam if you let religion into the governing of a country. Just like tribalism, religion, does not have a place in a constitution or in the official discusson room. Beliefs are carried within ourself and in what we do - and it can not be question or discussed. Tribal affiliation should be something to be proud of in a positive way, not something to fight about or for.
I say like a professor in theology and religious history did: "I have studied religion and found out the God exist. No I don't believe anymore. I know."
Anyway, just face it. There are Kenyans that are muslims. They also have their say, just like you. But it does not mean it is accepted with sharia and political parties with a muslim agenda. And same applies to christians.
And the oil you are talking about will be eaten by a bunch of greedy ones unless social reforms are not pushed through.
