I've just read the news on Nation and the Standard. This is exactly what we need done... finally the men in the middle of it will start feeling personal effects of what it is they instigated. I wonder who the prominent people are... I do have an idea on the identities of the 5 MPs affected so far....
Funny enough it's only Ruto named from ODM. PNU has Mrs M.Karua, Mr Michuki, Dr Alfred Mutua,mr George Saitoti, Mr Kiragu,Lucy Kibaki,Uhuru,Kabando wa kabando,Bishop Njui and kibaki's daughter. I think the Kenyan government is a loser on this one. When Government people are restricted from moving out of the country it becomes a recipe of disaster. This message has been edited. It is unfortunate that going to some countries abroad seems like a matter of oxygen. So why are they not banning the common crooks murdering innocent Kenyans across the rift valley, they don't even have passports! Africa has been ruled by some crude dictators who should have been banned from even going to the toilet but they died with their lifetime visas. This is nonsense we should have more serious measures and perhaps the same governments banning Kenyans should first stop doing business with the culprits.
totally agree. by banning them it doesnt stop the killings that are going on. thats we need finished. Even the ones who are capable of getting visas will have to go and get humiliated like the rest of kenyans in the embassies.

Good point. I am sure many people in foreign governments have good minds and want to see Kenya go back to normal and even better, while other are just waiting to get in and make their sometimes blood sucking biz. Do you remember when all election observers complained about outrageous rigging 1992 - except the britts. Hempstone was even kicked out of the country. When the Moi had installed himself and stopped the printing press for bank-notes for that time then the britts where very happy to announce that they had got a new very nice plot in town... and probably a bunch of good deals on top of that. Give and take.

This banning nonsense by Britain and U.S exposes them for what they are capitalist hypocrites. It is a colonial mentality and does not help at all in solving the crisis in Kenya. So what is the secret about that list that Kenyans don't know. Is it possible they are protecting murderers? Let them not give us that crap about Kabando wa Kabando... surely we all know from 1992 who was declaring in public that some people should lay low like antelopes. We know the constituency that massacred 'enemies'... It is important for Kenya also to issue travel bans to Americans killing innocent Iraqis and also all those foreign powers that ruined Somalia.
It is not to hard to understand the reaction, is it?
If you have a bad situation in a country, like for example in Kenya, where the PEOPLE are suffering, you normally get a reaction from the countries in the hoods and also from the rest of the world (what we call the international community). I know some of you don't like that, you want to keep all foreign interference out, as long as it does not serve your opinions. Some of you also think that all different looking people have bad intentions. But I am sure we can at least agree that what is going on is a normal reaction.
In Kenya it was very clear that both sides in the conflict did not acts as the leaders they claim they are when the post election violence started (planned or not). They where just trying to save their own butts and faces. They hardly even tried to protect their own people when hell brooke loose. The reactions from the rest of the world was now there but nothing happen. Stopping donor money had no effect... So what do you do next? Ask yourself what you would do. "Hmm, them fatties like going to Atlanta to shop and get inspired of the high buildings we have.., let's keep em out!"
What we think about the ban is another story but it definately had an effect, you have to agree on that.
I am sure the banned people can survive and how on earth would they have time to go abroad now anyway?

Nini, my question is if these so called foreign powers know who to ban then they know who has been doing what if we are to believe them. Why not make the list public? what is so secret when Kenyans are dying it is very hypocritical it is nonsense
Murogi I want to know who is is on that list really BAD!! But we also have to realize that we tend to judge before due course is allowed to take place. That being said, people will conclude that ALL THOSE ON THE LIST are guilty of the current mayhem! Result: More mayhem in the name of revenge.
Those who have created this `ban list' are being independent in making this list private. They don't have the same emotions and attachments to Kenya that we Kenyans do. In the interest of peace, the list NEEDS TO REMAIN PRIVATE. Besides that, I would really like to know who is on that damn list!
