The link below is to an article in the Nation about the state of Kisumu as it stands today. No matter what end of the political spectrum one is on this is sad and Kenya needs peace quickly. In the mean time all those who brought us to where we are today continue to live in luxury. Tough lesson learnt by all us ordinary people....I hope
I feel deeply sorry for the other Kenyans,who must work in these neighborhoods.For all I know I'll give up the best job in the country,if it means working in some cities in Kenya,after all that has happened.Universities(and many institutions) from some regions will,for a long time in the future, be monolithic which might be good for some of us is what they want!! The other take will be that most of the smart civil service will no longer invest in these areas but will ship their rightly and hard earned resources to their ancestral lands! What a pity!
