Was in kilifi in November last year. Enjoyed a meal of a juicy giant rat(kadzora) and plate of ugali.Taste pretty much, if not better, than chicken. I highly recommend that you try it once in a lifetime.
Who knows where i can get canned snails (preferably ready to eat) and white ants??

I recommend you visit Githae's homestead...they eat such from what he told Kenyans...and chances are they breed what you just asked for...and much more. Am sure they'll even be more than happy to provide you with the recipes....

Wakariuki, If I make you some ugali, you would eat until you get fed up . I am well known for my ugali making skills. I am also know for grilling meat and chicken. The problem is when I have to mix so many things because i do not like them.

Kanyutu, That is illeagal hunting!!!
I worry if such tread continues. They say that in China, there is hardly any wildlife because they eat almost everything. Once we begin eating any animal in sight, God save Kenya

This is not illegal hunting (Poaching). A lot of these "pests" such as rats, roaches (the fat flying types), snails and an assortment of edible frogs and insects can and often do make lovely juicy cuisines. You should try them out brother.

Kanyutu, I will die before I put any of those things in my mouth. I tend to be too picky with food.
