Moran,I understand kiria kingituma marakarire manyina na mocuwe.I was born when doing it was the norm. They used to do it outside with everyone watching.Me and pain tutiguithanagia so when my time came,I told my parents there was no way anyone was gonna cause me soooooo much pain. The girls screamed. When the villagers heard that I had refused, they became very mean. They used to sing the ugliest songs that I became addicted to bathing. To this day I still bathe 3 or more times a day.
Twacemanagia nao makambiriria kuina ati----muruki muruki ndaigua, muruki ndaigua wa irigu ikihituka.........My mama God bless her tried telling me that is not why anybody stinks but it did not help.My Dads father who I know is rotting in hell disowned my Father. He said ati ndakuiga maraya in his homestead.Ati irigu grow up to be maraya.I asked my mama why that wicked man would call his grandchildren that and she said I needed to toalk to my great grandma Wacuka the great.According to her,men had the wives circumcised in order to have some sought of a natural chastity belt for when they went to war kana kumatha.Do you know we moved from the village where I was born? The women used to swear ati their sons will never marry me.I prayed that God get me and my family out of that village. And He did.I praise Him every day for that.Maybe the mothers who do it to their children face similar situations and I think they fear the ramifications of saying no.My family became ostracized for saying no.?I hope and pray that God gives them the strength to say NO.
