I am new to this site. My reasons for joining is because I recently married a man from Kenya. He misses his home very much. I am trying to learn about his country, culture, and people. I have told him of this site and hope that he will find some comfort with interacting with people from his country. His mother, father, brothers and sisters still live in Kenya.

There are other Kenyan blogospots where you can learn a lot about Kenya. Its beauty and also its ugly side. Regarding your husband, I do not know if he is interested in interacting in Kikuyu. If he doesnt, this site might frustrate at times.

hi. i am a week old,i guess.and i would like to say thank you for the warm welcome.at least in this short period i've got like 5 replies and thats positive response.
i dont have friends around to speak gikuyu with but i think i can manage the written one cuz i know the vowels,i was told that was the most complicated part;once u get the vowels,the rest will be a walk over.

Kariuki, Sajini, Wagithuri, Papa Daad, (and the other common ones) ni wega muno.but you guys are FAST .i read your "work" and i think its good cuz u get loads of replies,i dont understand though.BUT keep up the spirit.society needs active people such as yourselves to keep it alive.
