I'm BoBi from Belgium, I like travelling, Bob Marley, ... . Among others I'm wishing to meet some people from, involved in, interested in, ... Kenya or Belgium, especially if they are crazy about the Internet, IT and photography. Of course any other people are welcome too.
I am Maria from Uganda. I like traveling too, and I think Bob Marley is cool...I am interested in Kenya and I could gain interest in Belgium (got to learn more about it first)...involved in Kenya...uh...maybe I am crazy about the internet, IT, photography.
So...I know you, you know me... Where do we go from here? (Kidding it’s meant to be a joke)
They are pretty cool photos. All I can say is that we are not so different-you and us. You see black and we see white. Everything else follows... like liquid mercury...flowing down a..a..sloping thing. (Steve Martin's "Pink Panther") oh yeah I love movies(comedy) too.
I have a question for you BoBi: why are you interested in Kenya? This message has been edited. Last edited by: <PGithinji>,
How I got interested in Kenya was a surprise to myself I must say. Back in 2001 I went unexpecting on a one week organised Kenya holiday. To keep a long story short, being thoroughly impressed I ended by meeting my wife in Kenya.
In fact Kenya made me getting more interested in my own country Belgium. A kind of opposites attract and show more clearly the actual things I suppose. I guess my mind likes to work this way. I started doing the Kenya-Belgium website as exploring the Internet to prepare for something else. Nevertheless I liked it so much I'm quite busy with the Kenya-Belgium website itself nowadays.

Is your wife a Kenyan? Is she kikuyu? Did you meet her during that one week holiday or after? Sorry i am asking too much but i cant help to wonder; what would attract a white man to a black woman? you're white-right? Oppostes attract = black attracts white? Is that it? i ask too much.

Hi Maria,
Yes she is. She's mixed. Her mother kikamba and father luya (I'm I writing this OK?). I met her on the one but last day of my holiday at the entrance of the Bamburi beach hotel near Mombasa while I was trying to find an Internet connection. I'm white. Opposites attrack is certainly part of the attraction. Of course when we met I liked her and she was cool. I suppose there are other reasons too and I should tell how we met. To be continued later. One thing I noticed since I met my wife is that in general I find black women far more sexy then white women. Nonetheless since a year or so I'm starting to find some white women sexy again too.
Welcome to Kikuyu.com. Unfortunately when you came into the forum a lot of us were off on holiday. Traditionally in Kikuyu culture a visitor ought to be welcomed with a cool drink and a plate of food. Do take a seat, partake of the meal we offer you and then....tell us more about where you come from!
Feel free in this house.
I once had a Belgian pal, during my school days and he was quite nice. Made me get the impression that Belgians are cool people. We lost contact however after 7 years of communicating. I like your contrast of Kenya and Belgium....but in my opinion, white,black... we are all the same...color is superficial. The other differences are adopted e.g. social norms...hey, my two pence!

Mambo,
No danger for my wife. What danger are you thinking of when you ask about it?
I agree all people are very much the same. On the other hand all people are very much different too, especially if the come from a totally different background.

Asante sana. It was a very good meal.
I was wondering since you are from south africa if most people here are actually kikuyu?
I believe genetic differences make a diffference too not only the environment.
Sorry to hear you lost contact with your Belgian pal.
I am Kikuyu but this house is not for Kikuyus only. Our sister Maria from Uganda as well as others will attest to that. Its just a place where we share ideas, have fun, learn from each other, debate ..... The theme, as the name of the site suggests is however Kikuyu.

Bobi, No I do not mean you are dangerous. Just thought that when a married man begin seeing other women as sexy, it is not a good omen for the wife. Know what I mean?
