Well thanks to everyone who is so helpful. In fact I know very little the language, and my task will be describing some language features which would be interesting. Someone says that maybe to study the Swahili will be a shortcut of learning the Kikuyu, may I know whether the current Kikuyu language is influenced more and more by Swahili?
