i have decided to rekindle the flame of the Investors forum people.
Now that Scan group has disappointed Kenyans again and Kenya Re is somewhere around the corner and my take is that it will also be oversubscribed.
There seems to be a lot of money in the market and people are coming up with all manner of start ups to 'mop up' the excess liquidity.
i was talking to someone yesterday who told me about SASANET company. They take your money or rather you give them your money and earn interest monthly(paid every two months)
the minimum amount is 100k
for 100k you earn 7% P.M paid in every two months. so its like 14% in two months
500-1M the interest rate is 8% and above 1M the interest rate is 10%. The contract period is 1yr renewable.
I did some 'research' on the company and found out they sell airtime for Celtell and Safcom and with the ever growing mobile telephony industry they seem to be a stable company.they were also in the papers last month(Standard) and were boasting of a capital base of 1M dollars.
....its just a thought....

Yeah,i've heard about them too but what i don't elewa is their seemingly "too good"(to be true?) rates of interest..i mean if you can get a "whooping" shs. 84,000 out of a 100k without losing the principle in a year..what better business can there be?,was just wondering-just where do they invest people's money to be able to pay these kind of handsome returns? A"mita" @ there rates would ciarira you another 1.2 on top of your principle!,angikorwo ni ma nindatobora, kwina mundu ungi wi na more info about Sasanet or such other outfits, lets share..

Kariuki na pupui1,
Ndegete matu ta mbawa! I'm so interested in that if it is that lucrative. As pupui rightly put it, why go anywhere else if you are assured that your money will earn such unbelievable interests? Do you know of people who have been there, done that? That would be a starting point. I will also enquire more about this.

Papa Daad and pupui1,

Immediately I saw Kariuki's and Papa's message, I "Googled" SASANET and got their website. I sent Kariuki's message to them under "Contact us" link and am waiting for their response. I will share whatever I get from them.

Ngunjiri,

On Sasanet, later yesterday i bumped onto a friend who knows some1 or some people investing with them(sasanet)..he's to introduce me to them soonest and i will most def let u guys know what they have to say. But has any1 ever toyed with the idea of starting a "KIKUYU.COM" investment club?,even if not immediately, maybe its an idea worth exploring in the coming year andu mebanga na Ngai atuiga muoyo, coz i guess with investments, the more diversified and well spread the less the absolute risk and the more the returns. Any1 seconding out there???!!

people i have a good example of my work collegue who joined in Jan this Year and she has been receiving her interest promptly.I strongly feel that it works.am even toying with the idea of getting a sacco loan at 3% and put it in Sasanet.
what scares me is the story i read in the papers that one of their directors is Mr Mburu....there has been rumours that the Company is asociated with Kabogo(and Kabogo has a bro called Mburu) but if they are doing genuine business....then who cares. am eagerly waiting to hear from the responses from Sasanet thru Ngunjiri and papui.....please avail any info here.

.....the idea of kikuyu investment club is a good idea. We have all seen how Trancentury group has grown to be A corporate giant in Kenya.I second you bro....but i differ with you as far as the name of the club is concerned....potential business partners may look at it as a tribal outfit.....suggestions people.lets not kill this Dream. please

Papa,
.....i was just thinking may be a more 'general' name that will not attach the club's name to any tribe would give it a 'national' outlook....perhaps 'Nyumba' or even 'ya Mumbi' investment club. Besides, Kikuyu.com may not be comfortable with the idea of 'us' using their name......i am sure not many govt organisations or even companies would want to do business with a company called Luo investment club,Bukusu investment club, Nufi investments club etc....

Kariuki,
Actually what i meant was an investment club amongst"ourselves" in this site, thats why i inverted it ie"KIKUYU.COM"..we don't necessarily have to use the site's name neither do we have to use a "tribal" tag ie Kikuyu this kikuyu that blah blah..however, i feel Papa Daad when he asks whats wrong with using the word kikuyu in it,i know there is something like "Kikuyu phobia" in this country but we can always counter that by walking tall and proud and generally not being apologetic at all for being what we proudly are-Qyuks! Sometimes i feel any1 with a problem with Kikuyus can always hike the first bus-ride to hell..and by the way Kariuki, even names like like "Nyumba","Mumbi" et al will hide nothing about the"identity" of the club-the conotation is obvious in this country. But i concur that we don't really have to cocoon ourselves into a non cosmopolitan name if you like. Back to businss, i met one of the Sasanet investors and i think the thing is true, som far she's been getting her checks promptly(monetary ones, sio zile zingine zao!),i will be visiting their offices soon.Lets have ideas on "our" club tho..
