Their is an article in the Daily Nation on the problems of accessing the sea that has been brought about by private investors sealing off access roads to the sea ..... and now sealing off the beach frontage that they have.
This simply means that you can no longer walk along the beach leave alone swim in the sea around those properties.
In the majority of the developing and developed parts of the world that I have traveled, access to the beach is guaranteed to all and in very rare instances do you find a permanent structure blocking off access to the beach ... and if such a structure does exist it is normally for public use.
However God in his wisdom has decided to raise sea levels and those magnificent properties that were developed right at the beach are threatened by the sea and may end up as part of the coral reef the way things are going.
