1.Isn't it scary that the word "therapist" is the same as the words "the" and "rapist" put together?
2.When you snap your fingers, does the sound occur when your middle finger releases from your thumb, or when your middle finger hits the palm of your hand?
3.Why do people say PIN number when that truly means Personal Identification Number Number?

My crazy opinion,
1. the etymology of therapist and concatenation of 'the' 'rapist' is pure coincidence

2. The sound whne the middle finger releases from the thumb. I tried snapping the other fingers and no sound was made when my fingers hit the palm, though you may ask why they did not crack at release from the thumb.

3. As for PIN, I guess it is because acronyms sometimes get a life of their own, and nobody gives a damn about the initials.

Thanks alot Mr Sajini for your opinion and I must admit in a way,I agree with your 1st and the 3rd answer. But I really need more opinion on my 2nd thought.

i concur with u wakarima.it really got me thinking & i have noted that if there worgs then its to say:
1. repeat again.repeat means come again or do it again therefore we should just say repeat or come again.
2.can be able.can means you are able therfore we should say i am able or i can.

neither.
its after your middle finger releases from your thumb and before it hits the palm.

its when it hits the palm. and the other fingers have to be on the palm too for the sound to be produced. you know,like when you blow air into a bottle. so,there has to be that space between the fingers and the palm...am thinking...
