I totally agree with Sajini few can beat Nyina wa B in that. But where is she at? Haven't heard of her for a long time. Can we send Sajini "kiama" to let us know what's up?
Wa Wakuru, Nimekubali kwenda. Nitaondoka kesho asubuhi na mapema (tutharane maai na thambiri) kumpelekea ujumbe kwamba amepuuza jukumu lake. Ama don't the good book say we use our talents and not bury them in the ground?
Yes, I will go and tell her "Onjorithia taranda"
...and I can hear Nyina wa Bakhita replying...my fellow kik.comers, I knew you were hard, mean and demanding people, therefore, I decided to bolt for sometime...

I was in Nariobi for two weeks. The hospitality shown me was beyond words. They are Gikuyu. They served a cabbage dish that was very delicious. It was served hot and was colorful. Besides, cabbage dish...is there a name for it? And how do you make it! I'm hungry. I have not been able to eat american since coming back. I miss the foods I was served there very much. Also want to know how to make Samosa's. Now they were very good!
PastorNjoki, It is good to hear you liked the hospitality. It is natural for any Gikuyu to welcome you and show high level of hospitality. It was shown in various ways ranging from being offered food (plenty of it), drinks, or and for those who drink, a sip of muratina (the local brew).
I have no term for the cabbage dish as they are known as "mboga" or "matharu" depending on whether it was cabbages or kales. As for the recipe for making samosas ("thambutha" in Gikuyu), I will have to look up for that.
It was hospitality beyond words. Thank you for sharing the Gikuyu words in your writing.
The cabbage dish indeed was cabbage, as I watched her cut it up into the tiny strips. I left the kitchen before they cooked it, so only know how she cut it into the pan.
I had seen a Samosa recipe online from one of the addresses offered, but I do not have all the ingredients to try to make it.
As for the Ugali, I have not tried to make it. I know she stress about doing something different there too.
