My name is Maria. And i am an Internet addict. he he try to sound like the people who go to those
re-hab centres. "Hi,my name is Frank and i am an alcoholic." and everybody says,"hi Frank."
Anyway, there are many people we meet on the internet like
here at kikuyu.com and we exchange phone numbers and sometimes addresses. It seems harmless (to us) when we do it but in some
cases its not.Say it is harmless and we continue to be "friends" with these people; is this friendship real? how can it be
real when the only thing connecting the two of you is wires?Should people we meet on the net be treated like other friends
who are "more real?"
I have met (in person) with 4 people i met on the internet.I get the chills when the time comes
to meet 'cos of the fact that i am finally meeting a stranger i already know now that doesnt sound right. But of these people one is a very good
friend(kenyan)now and the others are cool too. Somehow, they dont seem "real" 'cos of the fact that we met on the internet.
These
friends are too good to be real, just like the internet. They will always make your day- now thats for sure. But is it good
to live in this "virtual" world with "virtual" friends?
Maria, Let me say personally the only internet friends I have met, were thru kik.com and guess what, they have been great!
None of the friends I have met thru kik.com and then face to face have disappointed me. I guess it is because here, people
do not put artificial face, what impression you get of someone here will be exactly what you get when you meet (at least for
me this is true)
Ngunjiri, maybe u r right,i'd like to meet you and know whether you are real.
Anyway, remember that "courier" guy;
i met him he
is cool alright, (real Kenyan).but still,am not sure he is "real". although he is a great kikuyu teacher.its just that time
is not on our side so i havent had any lesson yet. but i have hope.he is nice,he could spare some time to teach me and yet
he is a kikuyu "business man"...i guess that makes him real.
hey all, check this joke too, Q;What's the defference between a woman in church and a woman in bath? A;A woman in
church has hope in her soul, but the woman in bath has soap .
Maria, Too bad that I had been out of kikuyu.com for sometime now. I could have tried to get to you when I was in Kampala
a few weeks ago. Anyway, I have meet two people through kik.com, and I would say like Ngunjiri that they are great.

Wagithuri, Hata wewe?

Sajini, funny,i
still havent gotten over the whole "sajini" idea yet. i feel i have too much respect for you. ..and Ngunjiri, and Wagithuri..
Yeah,
I missed seeing you .Should
have joined kikuyu.com back then when you hadn't gotten so busy. There'll be a next time. I have faith. Ngunjiri..hhmm
There is a kikuyu here in Uganda-"courier"
and i have met him. He is cool.you guys are very nice people.THUMBS UP!!
yeah..soon we will be. But there are many Kenyans here and many kikuyus. They got their style so there are particular "joints"
where you will find kenyans. of course, most of them are secondary students. i wonder why their parents send them here
all by themselves. you know, there are some schools with 90% of the population being Kenyans.

It
is a plus for Uganda Maria. Kenyans respect Uganda for her superior education system. It is interesting that Makerere has
opened a Campus in Kenya to cater for the demand. It is also very nice because Kenyans will learn more about the Ugandan culture
which will open up their eyes towards other cultures. An international experience is essential in developing a global perspective.

Once more Maria I am very impressed by your quick grasp of Kikuyu. Hunestly, I would like to steal a trick from you. And
by the way, you should start a thread where you also teach us your language.
