But what can we do about it?....nothing! Shame on us. Delamere should rot in Hell. About the demacation of land and selling it to the locals, its a good gesture. But what about the other 'Delamere' in Taita Taveta who Owns the whole District and yet we still want him to be the President?

For those of you in the know, > How do you kill a rat? > Not by reciting poetry to it. > You kill a rat by hitting it on the head repeatedly The "Delamere's" in our midst will only accept chane when they are hit on the head by reality.

You have reminded me of that old standard three story. This time, it was the cat that was on the receiving end. The rats wanted to know how they will know whenever the cat is coming to eat them. One of the rats came with a grand policy. Let us tie a bell on the cat. Every rat was so happy, until one of them evaluated the policy and asked, “who will tie the bell on the cat?" " Nuu ugwikira mbaka mbugi?"
Now Wamathira. Nuu ukuringa mbia mutwe? You know the main problem we have in Kenya is that, we are still suffering from pre-colonial and colonial era hangovers. Take for example: during the pre-colonial era, a hero was only a hero if he had managed to steal cattle from the other community. Currently a hero is only a hero if he (and nowadays also she) has managed to steal enough from us. The more you steal from us, the better the hero you are. The better the leader you are. The more the votes you will get. The more we will build you capacity to steal from us. The more we will admire you. " Haha ni ho murimu uri, no mundu mugo mugi agiuma naku? oke na miano na mbugu atutahikire. tahika wariga noria wariganiire (pre-colonial and colonial hangover" .
You see, the main solution is what we have. It is not what we don’t have. It is the determination of the common man. The drive of the common man. The desire of the common man.
Yes, the common man. The common Kikuyu. The common Luo. The common Karenjin. The common Nandi. The common Kenyan. We have common men (and women) in plenty. This is the only thing we need to have in order to be able to hit the rat at the head.
When i was a small child in standard three, my (our) teacher one day asked (ordered) us to cane each other after being caught doing what we were supposed not to be doing. Let me tell you, it was not eating nyama choma. And this is what we expect them to do. To cane each other. Forget it. It will never happen. Not with Kibaki. Not with Raila. Not with kalonzo. Not with Uhuru. Look. All of them are landlords.
Very true, I totally agree with the sentiments expressed here. It is easie to pick out the son of Delamare because he is not like us (His skin color) But as we crucify him, (Which he rightly deserve) we should not close our eyes at all to the other black Cholmondeleys.
