Do not be easily carried away ati post stuff hapa then come and say sorry!! damn it!!what if that article you just had to 'paste' from God knows where made someone pick a panga/mawe/wooden plank/gun and kill another.. is sorry enough? at a time when people are thinking with their emotions you and me should be spreading PEACE it may be difficult but I believe it can be done. If people can be incited into violence by listen/reading then the same can be done to spread PEACE.
I know for a fact that there are people who have lived huko rift valley na walizaliwa 1910, their parents lived there. So I ask myself.. MOI or kenyatta ndio aliwasettle huko early 1900's?
No one is listening.. till u make a mistake

As you may already be aware, our families/neighbors/fellow Kenyans in Kenya are going through extremely difficult times due to violence related to the outcome of the recent presidential elections. This violence has resulted in massive loss/displacement of innocent lives and grave destruction of property.Sadly, the majority of those affected are innocent women, children and the physically challenged individuals of specific communities. The saddest of all these acts of lawlessness was the burning of displaced families alive in a church where they had sought refuge in Kenya's Rift Valley Province. Most of the displaced families are now taking refuge in Churches, stadiums and police barracks. "Diaspora for Peace" is coordinating a humanitarian relief effort to help the displaced families meet their daily needs. We are collecting nonperishable foods (powdered milk, mashed potatoes, cereal, noodles and other instant foods, etc), toothpaste, diapers, pull-ups, personal hygiene stuff, sanitary pads, clothes and etc. The first shipment is expected to leave by air before Jan. 30th, 2008 for Kenya and the next one will leave thereafter by ship. We are also collecting monetary donations to buy more of the highly needed necessities and to defray the shipping cost. The approximate cost involved is U.S. $15,000. A fundraiser will be held at 4:00 PM on Feb. 2, 2008 at Faith Community United Methodist Church situated on 5315 Harford Rd., Baltimore, MD 21214. Your generous donations will go along way in helping to meet the needs of those in dire need. A gift opens the way for the giver and ushers him into the presence of the great (Proverbs 18:16).He who gives to the poor will lack nothing, but he who closes his eyes to them receives curses (Proverbs 28: 27). Humanitarian relief checks should be made out to: I. C. C. Church, 3406 Bel Air, and Rd Baltimore, MD 21213.
