it is very true that every woman needs to look good. this is not necessarily to please the man in her life but mostly so she can feel good about herself. a woman who looks good is more confident about herself and so can relate better with other people. going to the saloon is on every woman's diary, who wants to walk through the days with "KAWAIDA" hair? we also want to attract some attention - it keeps us going.

Mere Kaliz, again and again, looking good boosts one's self esteem, that goes for you guys too!

Interesting! Now that i own two pair of shoes (one for the weekend), does it mean that i have low self esteem?? Lets assume that i acquire one more today, will i experience "a surge" in self esteem??? I wish i was a marketer for Bata Shoes. A would offload all the stocks in a flash.

there goes one controversial topic especially when its being discussed by both men and women who will never look at things in the same way!!! but about self esteem, mine comes from deep in me, i would be nude but my esteem still remains maybe the dignity would be kiasi disturbed but my esteem NO!! i also agree that when am all dolled up i have a good feeling about myself but i learnt that dressed to kill or otherwise, it shouldnt affect how i feel, coz should i find myself too broke to afford any of those "luxuries" does it mean i will never hold my head high? NEVER that should never be the case whatsoever! thats why long hair or otherwise, one handbag or 20 i feel good about me everytime! self esteem, confidence and pride, attitude, and happiness are things i wear broke or rich, and i try not to let anyone/anything influence them as in i have total control of them.

Ofcourse having a few pair of shoes doesn't mean you have a low self esteem....but for us ladies Eeehhhh lots of shoes; handbags and hair....is a necessity!!!...not a want. It makes us look good hence we feel good about ourselves. However; if you have unkempt hair..a bent shoe...a torn handbag and still have a high self esteem and feel good ....kudos to you!

wakanyugi, I 2nd that, if one is comfortable with a bent shoe and shaggy hair, let them be. if i like being glam and decent, that's me. and also the men should take their glooming one level higher, who said men can't use deodorants, infact, i think they were made with them in mind since they sweat most. is it known to you men that nowaday we cross paths with your fellow men on beauty palours? they also need pedicures and manicures, do you?

Kaliz, No thanks. I like them short and natural.Cutex contain mercury which is harmful to my Spleen and Kidneys. Just to remain with the earlier issue, do you sincerely think my self esteem and worth will improve with more shoes, well manicured nails and trendy suits????

i agree it does wonders, but like this rock song 18 till i die by Bryan Adams there is a line that says "its not how you look its what you feel inside..." and i agree, hypothetically you cannot afford all those new shoes and handbags does it mean you will never feel good? i doubt it, thats why i feel good about me manicured nail or otherwise... i love those treats but they dont define me, i define me and i feel what i choose to feel regardless of whether am bare foot or while wearing the most expensive shoe!

Wa Karia, Allow me to borrow this gem. I was wondering if womens self esteem is at its lowest when they are nude in bed, or in the bathroom, or in Bikinis, without them shoes and handbags.
