Hello people my name is Joanne, I'm new to this forum. I'm in a fix - I'm in love with a relative of mine. This cute guy is the son of my mothers sister (he's my cousin I guess) but he is not a pure Kyuk his father is Namibian. Is he really my cousin and what does Kikuyu tradition have to say about this can we have a relationship and eventually marriage? please help I need advise. Thanks

Inbreeding is wrong

My answer is a big NO

Kikuyus did not marry from the same mbari, let alone the same family

For heavens sake JoAnn, you are headed in the wrong direction. Its a good thing that you are seeking advice because thats what you need. This is your cousin regardless of whether his dad is Namibian. There are so many good guys out there to date. Leave your cousin alone no matter how 'cute'

Dare do it in Kenya and you will promptly be jailed for incest. Stop being narrow minded, look up and see the world.

Hey hey guys...You are too harsh to this person. If he/she has a crash for the cousin, what is soo gross about that? I am told cloning is real these days! I thought it is worse than incest. Anyway, Joane, if yiu really have a thing for this guy, go ahead and have a swing with him...but do not bear children....they may have genetical defects!!! But i see nothing wrong having one 4 King good time.

Besides, i am also a serial loverand you can still seek me out. I am sure i am not your cousin, as a matter of fact, i have none.

3rd degree of consanguinity = incest in Kenya? I probably want to confirm that.

Na Gikuyu nikiri migiro.
