How many of you feel we should get back to praising God in the way our ancestors did as opposed to following the organized religions of wazungus? We follow the archbishop of Canterbury, the Pope in Rome, the Imam in Mecca but we forget about our own. It does not seem right!

Boss,Well said. It does not seem right. It would be interesting praising the way our ancestors did. They had no churches. Prayed under a Mûgumo tree facing Mt Kîrînyaga .They believed that Mwene Nyaga lived above their sacred Mountain which the colonialist called Mt. Kenya.
Our ancestors believed that the first human beings that Mwene Nyaga created were not Adam and Eve but Gîkûyû and Mûmbi. And the one thing that would confuse the believers today is the fact that Ngai wa Kîrînyaga did not have a son.
I believe in Jesus myself. And I also believe in God or Mwene Nyaga.
This is a hard one Boss.Nyûmba, what do you think? Is it possible to go back to the good old time traditional praising?

We should beware of being brainwashed by the western ideology. What color was the Jesus? Was he not a Jew? So you will believe me that all the Jesus stories are a mere creation of human imagination. Even if he existed, Jesus was not a god. He did not even have a drop of godly blood. When we say Ngai wa Kirinyaga, we mean the ONE who is beyond human understanding. He created us and makes us live in harmony with His other creation. Personally, I professed Christianity for many years before I noticed how we were misguided. I perceive Christianity as a form of colonialism only that this time the believers are mentally colonized. I have professed Buddhism also and found that it also has the basic principle of religions; to govern the morals of a community. So there is nothing wrong with our God- Mwene Nyaga,-who is as potent as any other god. Whether Mwene Nyaga lived on top of Kirinyaga or wherever-as far as the exploration capability of our ancestors could allow them to think-the idea is that he exists, it does not matter where (whether on universe or other galaxies). He is the God of our forefathers and he works miracles when we pray to Him. It is easier for me to follow Him rather than believing in foreign gods whose origin I do not have a clue. Ngunjiri Muthumbi.
Ngûnjiri,What color dou you think Jesus was?It does not matter what colour He was.Yes he was a Jew.According to the new Testament,He was born in the middle east.If you look at the map of the continent of Africa,it includes the middle east.Which continent is the middle east in according to the colonialist? Sure they can chop that part of North Africa off to deny the fact that Jesus was born in Africa. The bible says God told Mary and Joseph to go hide in Egypt so Jesus would be safe.God is smart. He knows it all.And He would know better than anyone that you do not hide a "white " child among black kids.
Ngai wa Kîrînyaga,God,Allah, He is all one. We just have different ways of believing and following Him.He is kind. He does not force us to choose. He gives us free will. It's all upto us.Whatever we want to believe.

NYUMBA, In his book, Beyond Freedom and Morality, B.F Skinner argued that you can give people their dignity and freedom and control them.
This statement was made in reference to the issue of the Civil Rights movement in America. What Skinner found out is that you can use things that have no value at all to give a people the illusion that they are free and have acheived all the valuables that they were struggling for.
This is how the civil rights movement and the liberation struggle in Africa was defeated. We receive aid and assistance that is designed to take us nowhere. The African in America got a few token positions filled by people whose have a white agenda.
Collin Powell and Rice are some of the worst sellout that a race could ever have. Their main agenda is to advance the interest of white suprimacy, which is animical to our interests. The final analysis is that we are continually oppressed under white domination.
Religion plays a very key role here. The main purpose of foreign religion is two prong. They give people force hope that they belong to one brotherhood with those who oppress them. In other words the act as a cover for the oppressor, while at the same time clearing his guilt. He can not feel ashamed for what he is doing to us because we are essentially one. Secondly, religion moralizes oppression.
Many African believe that they can change white people by praying for them and with them. They fail to see the whole thing as a political issue. Since religion is not based on reason or logic, whatever you tell people at a young age, they will continue to act on those instructions even when it is clear that such actions are against their best interests.
Boby Wright calls this process MENTACIDE. A process of conditioning a people to think in such a way that will ensure their total demise. This is what is happening to our people. We are still giving our children white people's names, or Swahili names for that matter. Simply because you speak French does not mean that you should give your child a Frenc name.
Lastly this process confuses a people by blurring the reality of group interests. When we are as oppressed as we are, anything that is good for me is bad for my oppressor. Whites going to the moon to me is a sort of calamity. WHY?.
This will use this as an advantage to keep me from taking power from them. They will set up settalites to intimidate all African countries from ever attacking them. That is why the west does not want anyone having neuclear weapons except them. That way they will ensure their domination of the world and hence the survival of their children.
No African country can do a damn thing if this people decided to wipe us out of the face of the earth. This might sound like farfetched theories by look around and see how many Tazmanians are around. How many Australian aborigines are around? How many Native Americans are around? How many Carribs are around in the Carribean?
I am reminded of the war between Ethiopea and Italy in 1939,where the pope actually blessed the planes that were carrying bombs to be dropped on men, women and children who were defenseless. But the problem with menticide is that we think that when Europeans talk about family and children they include us in their defination.
This is the worst strategic error we have made in the recent past and I am not sure we will survive long to correct it.
