In whatever we do,talk, walk, smile, eat, argue, drink, laugh, cry, sing, dance, play.....the list is endless, we make friends and foe. Some of the things you do when being watched by others keep you wondering whether you are creating friends or enemies.
At night, you will start reflecting and analysing the day's events. Images in form of dreams will be created in your brains.
In case probably you imagined someone took whatever you did negatively, it's possible for them to chase you in your dream seeking explanation. Big Grin Wink

Mbuguss dreams are in three faculties, 1. our day to day happenings eg. expectations and dissappointments,2. An aid to help us not respond to interruptions at night ie. to have a smooth night and 3. It can have spiritual implications. times its could be warning, encouragement or breakthrough. If you want to evaluate the level of your growth and develpment, evaluate your dreams.
(all this i was told my my counselling psychology teacher)

I actually did a term paper on the same and it makes sense even as i combine it with my spiritual understanding.

all you need to do is, ignore a dream thats about your daily happenings, its an axpression of your mind, infact the first 2, the third one, you could seek spiritual intervention.

I beg to differ!!

There are several theories as far as dreams are concerned:
1. The Dictionary explains a dream as a series of images, ideas, emotions or sensations that occur unvoluntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep
2. In medical terms,it is a mental phenomenon occuring during sleep in which images, emotions or thoughts are experienced with a sense of reality.
3. As an idiom, it is to have ideas or hopes which are not practical and are not likely to be successful.
4. The Encyclopedia explains it as a mental activity associated with the Rapid-Eye-Movement(REM)
5. Wikipidia says it's the experience of a sequence of images, like a movie with sounds, ideas or other sensations during sleep especially Rapid-Eye-Movement.

Talking of dreams having any meaning or expecting a dream to become true is superstitious according to me. When one is asleep, the body will rest but I think the brain never rests. The brain will just relax and functional at the same time. When dreaming, I think it's the brain making a flashback of events you already have experienced, expectations made by the brain to seem like real, phobia made by the brain to look like a horror movie or supernatural and so on. So i think that dreaming is a sign that the brain is functioning. My own view though!!

I'm Being Chased"

Chase dreams often stem from feelings of anxiety in your walking life. The way we respond to anxiety and pressure in real life is typically manifested as a chase dream. Running is an instinctive response to physical threats in our environment. Often in these dream scenarios, you are being pursued by some attacker, who wants to hurt or possibly kill you. You are running away, hiding, or trying to outwit your pursuer. Chase dreams may represent your way of coping with fears, stress or various situations in your waking life. Instead of confronting the situation, you are running away and avoiding it.Ask yourself who is the one chasing you and you may gain some understanding and insight on the source of your fears and pressure.

The pursuer or attacker who is chasing you in your dream may also represent a part of yourself. Your own feelings of anger, jealousy, fear, and possibly love, can assume the appearance of threatening figure. You may be projecting these feelings onto the unknown chaser. Next time you have a chase dream, turn around and confront your pursuer. Ask them why they are chasing you.

One may be consumed by their own anger, jealousy, love, or self-destructive behavior. For example, you may be drinking too much or exhibiting open hostility toward others around you. You may subconsciously be threatened by these actions which have been jeopardizing your relationships and/or career. Your dreams are a way of calling attention to these self-destructive actions.

"I'm Flying"

Flying dreams fall under a category of dreams where you become aware that you are dreaming, known as lucid dreaming. Many dreamers have described the ability to fly in their dreams as an exhilarating, joyful, and liberating experience.

If you are flying with ease and enjoying the scene and landscape below, then it suggests that you are on top of a situation. You have risen above something. It may also mean that you have gained a different perspective on things. Flying dreams and the ability to control your flight is representative of your own personal sense of power.

Having difficulties staying in flight indicates a lack of power in controlling your own circumstances. You may be struggling to stay aloft and stay on course. Things like power lines, trees, or mountains may further obstruct your flight. These barriers represent a particular obstacle or person who is standing in your way in your waking life. You need to identify who or what is hindering you from moving forward.

If you are feeling fear when you are flying or that you feel that you are flying too high, then it suggests that you are afraid of challenges and of success.

In reality, we do not have the ability to fly. Thus such dreams may represent that which is beyond our physical limitations. In your mind, you can be anybody and do anything. Another way of interpreting flying dreams is that these dreams symbolize your strong mind and will. You feel undefeatable and nobody can tell you what you cannot do and accomplish. Undoubtedly these dreams leave you a great sense of freedom.

Good explanation Wakabutha. But your explanation dealt on flying and being chased.Mine is more complex and worrying:

I always dream of being drowned by some imaginary forces. This happens on average twice a week. If am not drowning or being drowned, am the one chasing people in their dreams like in mbuguas case. Incidentally this happens once a week. In view of this pattern, is there any logical explanation??

To dream that you are drowning, signifies that you are overwhelmed by emotions or repressed issues that is coming back to haunt you. You may be proceeding too quickly in trying to discover your unconscious thoughts. If you drown to death, your relationship will fail or you will suffer major business losses. If your survive the drowning, then your relationship will be rescued by some intervention. You will rise to a higher position of wealth and honor.

To see someone drowning in your dream, suggests that you are becoming too deeply involved in something that is beyond your control. Alternatively, it represents a sense of loss in your own identity. You are unable to differentiate who you are anymore.

Haiya, that could be true Cool What about my role in chasing people in their dreams?? And one more issue, i have this curious urge to break things at the slightest provocation;could my body be calling me to address something terminal?
