Seems that no politician is strong enough to deal with those land owners and the colonial attitude some of them have.

"Land owners", "grabbers" or as I over heard one of them, with a up-nose queens english accent;
"I am a settler, here, by the lake."
(Lake Naivasha)

People are getting murdered. Horrible.
And soon that lake is gone too.

Frowner

If not delt with properly one day a crazy populistic politician might do a "Mugabe" o similar to get more votes.

I was suprised to see that Kenya have huge areas of land that to me seem grabbed. I thought the land issues where more or less settled in your country.

Kariuki wa Kihii,I am shocked beyond words by this incident! This is the most inhumane thing I have ever seen! There must be something fishy going on here!Kenyan gvt ought to do something otherwise these delamere thing is driving us nuts!Pple who even live in the neighbourhood are being denied their freedom! If I were asked I would force everybody in that land to go to their land and leave Kenyans at peace.
This is ridiculous!I have just seen it in the news.

What has happen is more than horrible.

But force might lead to more violence. The very much to late "Mugabe" attitude to land issues do not work.

The law, and that means law without political involvment, should look at what goes on down there properly.

Some super turbo lawyers should also look at the validity of all the historical documents and event that led to some few having sooo much land.

And if land was to be released, hopefully it wount be taken by some politicans that are in to flowers...

When people eat more than they can swallow they usually sort them self out. History shows that.
Unfortunately the poor are easily bribed and that is one of the factors that make the repression go on for long. These bad guys manage so well to make the majority of Kenyans puppets in their private little theatre.

Talking about theatre.
I was invited to a classic operetta in the Valley. It was to take place in Hells Gate. It sounded like fun and I came along and it was an eye opener for me.
They had built a little scene and the zebras was walking around while a flown in brittish operetta nini was performing a new version of a classic italian love drama. It was fun but a slight rape on the original in my taste (and I like some of the classical operas and music in general).
One of the dudes that took me there told me, with a forced smile:
"Look, my God, around 1000 pale faces and maybe 5 original Kenyans in the audience.., a real modern colonial arrangment for sure, bringing some western culture to the bush..."
(This was the time when I over heard a lady with a queens english accent say "I am a settler, here by the lake.")
And later he said (but it was a joke, ok!):
"If someone bombed this place the land issues of Kenya would immediately be solved..."

I truely hope it does not come to such extremity cause I hate violence of any sort. But if they go on with their balkanization I am sure they are diggin their own grave somehow.

While on Dalamare’s ranch we are dying through a physical bullet, in balkanized ranches, we a dying through ignorance, diseases, and hunger in the mighty name of our leaders. Each of them has a political ranch where they rear voters. Look at what is happening in Mt elegon? The black Dalamare has taken a hunting gun. Just to ensure his voters are safe. And we expect much more of this before the year closes.

I agree with you 100% papa Daad!We have very similar scenario like Delamare though not exact. My family is such a good example(I am glad you mentioned that)Because of greed,fame,...pple are trying all kinds of satanic things to fulfill their desires. And guess what!Even after we were denied the land, the ones who grabbed died almost immmeadiately after chasing us and didn't get to enjoy it!What's the point! My people lets work together to build the nation and lets all know earthly possesions will not take us anywhere and we will go without them!
