A question, or just a comment, regarding something that I don't understand:
If someone say that he/she or as a group is chosen or the chosen people. What are the other humans then? Not chosen?

Hi Nini,

I am not sure how God works, but the way i undertstand it is that: GOD LOVES ALL HUMANS THE SAME..However, favour is the next level which is not the same...

Neither do I.
However, regarding favouring or not - it is not really in the christian concept.
I think, or believe if you want, that the consequences of any person or group favouring themself, claim to be favoured or simply think or claim that they are better then others, are usually negative.

Is positive thinking Godly? Is optimism Godly? is being rich Godly? being smart? self-esteem (not pride) all these are signs of God's favour, and i believe we are allowed to pride in Gods abundance grace.

In the midst of all these, we need to be careful of our intentions, desires, plans, malice and mis-use of our tongues.AND ABOVE ALL.. love God and our neighbours..
VENGENCE BELONGS TO GOD... He will judge us with justice.

Nini. Being the chosen one/favoured one does not in any way bilittle others. It simply gives you a bigger meaning to your own existence, elevating you from humiliation and negative feelings directed at your group. Examples abound in history, the famous being the Israelites being declared the God's chosen people. This redirected their energies away from the persecution they underwent.
