Dear all,
First and foremost, I wish to recognise the team spirit demonstrated in this house.

As I had earlier mentioned, we intend to make a visit to Huruma Children's Home in Ngong, on May 31, 2008. This announcement comes early so that we all may have ample time to contribute (and solicit support) both materially and morally. Please reach to as many friends as you can for support.

I therefore suggest we meet on Thursday April 16, 2008 at a joint to be decided by fellow commers to kick off this. Our 2 earlier visits have been extremely successful and the management and the children have great memories of the visit and hopefully this will be a more successful one.

You can visit Huruma's website on: http://www.hchngong.org/ for more info on the home. While there, you can sign the online guest book.

Many thanks for you continued support.

Let us share ideas on how to move. First, where is most convenient place to meet on Thursday?

If people feel a Friday is more convenient, sure! Suggest a venue too.

I feel Friday being Furahi-day will interfere with the business of the day. better to meet on a weekday so that we are able to transact effectively.

Sure Ruki...Thursday is a better day to transact business. We can plan to meet for "furaha" on a furahi day later on.

Anybody with an alternative venue? Eateries is quite central and convinient.

we will stick to business until the meeting is over. the rest will come under AOB. other weekdays might be tricky Cool

lakini it seems Majority are ok with Thursday

people can start confirming attendance

Before people confirm attendance, I realised the last time we met at Eateries like if we are more than 4, we tend to squeeze due to their arrangement. What do pple feel about the venue? Any suggestion for another spacious venue? Any guidance from guys who're in CBD, Wakihia, Mbugua, Wangu.. and others?

There was a suggestion of meeting at G&R Restaurant, Biashara St. at 6pm cos it's more spacious.
How is that?

Wakihia,
There are 2 G&R restaurants (G&R and G&R Annexe) and both have space upstairs.

So you suggest Sandton? The last time I was there 2 weeks ago with a group, they informed us that they were discouraging people to gather as a group in the main restaurant, preferring people to meet in their meeting halls (at a cost of course)

Sandton is very central. lets meet there and take coffee/gacuru or Tea at the pub like we have done before.
