This is quite strong and moving. I totally agree...
I am truly sorry for what has befallen our country. The pictures of murders and mayhem we have seen cannot be justified under any circumstances. I sat last night and thought - the true cause of this problem is that we so strongly believe that whichever our political leaning is, that's the right and aggrieved one. I so truly believe in my stand and think that my neighbor or friend is wrong because they don't believe what I believe. Yet the truth is WE REALLY DON'T KNOW THE ULTIMATE TRUTH! Across the political divide we think we do but truly WE JUST DON'T KNOW because we were not there. We know what we read and hear from the papers but is that the truth??? Does it really matter WHO IS RIGHT if we are all going to be extinct from this world???
I am asking you as my bothers and sisters to please ask those who can listen to us to stop this hatred and senseless killings. I am apologizing if my political stand has offended you in any way and begging you please to extend the same particularly those whom you don't agree with. We all need each other; God could not have made a mistake to place us together knowing our diversity. What wrong has your neighbor done to you??? Just failing to believe or know what you believe in?? Did you choose who you are; did they choose who they are? Lets preach against revenge because revenge has no end.
This senseless killing has to stop. And we have a role to play. YOU and ME. If we stopped blaming "THEM" and took responsibility by reminding those around us WE may not necessarily be right. And even if we are, another Kenyan should not die for it. Lets not forget, your children, my children, my brother, your brother are the once suffering! Not "THEM". It may not have reached your doorstep, but believe me if it continues it will. Let's pray that God gives us forgiving hearts. I believe forgiveness has to start from ME. I have to forgive first, and I am asking for forgiveness too. Please reach out to your neighbor and friend, remind them why we need each other.
For me, I AM SO TRULY AND DEEPLY SORRY. No one deserved to die. Please let's say enough is enough. Do not accept or forward any hate emails and text messages. Tell your friends to stop sending them to you. If you can't see any good that will come out of it please keep it quiet and to yourself so that our children can have a future.

Exactly Ngorohiu. I wanted that to come out, all are guilty
Thats quite true, it reminds me of the fight against AIDS, everyone wanted to blame somebody and point fingers thats it that family or that person etc until it reached their doorsteps and realized it could happen to just about anyone! then some organization came up with some slogan i really love, they said the fight against AIDS begins with you and me!! i couldnt put it any better! it begins with you and me, we have to put an end to everything and when we come together none of our leaders will come between us coz after all its you and i who are neighbors and have been there for each other way before all this began. The longer we habour grudges the longer we will be unhappy there is alot of peace in forgiveness. the Bible also says love your enemy hard as that may be.
