Yeye, The RATIONALE is sound; at least for now, but I am very aware that two and a half years in Kenyan politics is like eons. Paradigms may shift of course.

Oh, I didn't know there is a specific thread for prediction and had posted this elsewhere... Twedi twof; my hunch is that the new constitution will pass. 2012 will be a battle between Tinga, Kalonzo, Karua, a nondescript from north rift and Peter Kenneth. Ruto and Uhuru won't be able to contest as they will be out of the country... don't ask me why.... Tinga will get 45% forcing a run-off. The run-off will be between him and either Kalonzo or PK. Tinga will win hands down....

Do you guys think Eugene wamalwa will ruffle feathers in Ford Kenya.
Also, which outsider would you like to see gaining national prominence in Politics? I would also like to see the return of Kipruto arap Kirwa and Shem Ochuodho
I think Kabando wa Kabando would be interesting

First, Kabando is a moron. He's gonna be there alright, to play Wodu Wakiri "the wag" (for those who did The Concubine.) That's Ndile's role for the uninitiated. I like Kirwa but Bill has complicated things for him a bit. If Bill ends up in The Hague as mentioned, then maybe he can make a comeback. Am predicting a Tuju volcano that will cover Rarienda with, i don't know, ash? But my call is that Kibaki will step down soon after the draft thing passes, leading to a showdown between Agwambo and Stevo. Son of Ajuma will carry the day, of course. That's what Baba Jimmy wants.

Njaũ ya Mbogo, Nimekusikia. I like your refernec to Wodu Wakiri. That crachter always cracked my ribs, including the Segasega in Imbuga's Man of Kafira. Now since all these guys are tainted, what do you think is the future for Kenya? Are we so hopeless that our choices are all bad and we only have to pick up the least evil of them?

Great leaders always emerge in a time of crisis. I see this yes /no thing as the beginning that will precipitate the revolution that will bring real change. In my mind change is no recycling the same old failures(that is a compliment) but in completely overturning the system and replacing it with a just system with able leadership.

Now that a lot of water has passed under the bridge, I think it would be in order to revise our predictions. After all they come with a disclaimer - dont forget to read the fine prints. Anyway here is my revised edition:
Presidential tickets:
1. Raila Amolo Odinga/Chality Kaluki Mwendwa Ngilu 2. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka/William Samoei Ruto 3. Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta/Eugene Ludovic Wamalwa 4. Sylvester Bifwoli Wakoli/Sylvester Bifwoli Wakoli (No. Its not a typo)
