Hi Bosco. I've not posted lessons for a while, but its coz am busy. I'll definitely post more interesting stuff soon. Thanks for your interest.
Lesson 16:
The negative form for 'Nĩ aroragire huko.' is 'Ndanoraga huko.'. 'Aroraga huko' is not a sentence on its own but rather a continuation of an action. It can be equated to the English 'then he killed a mole' Example below is the only instance where it can stand alone: continuation of the act/idea in the question.
Q. Areka atĩa? ANS. Aroraga huko.
(Q. What did he do? ANS. He killed a mole.)
OR
(Q. What is he doing? ANS. He is killing a mole.)
The following example is the more common usage:
Arathire mũgũnda aroraga huko.
(He went to the farm where he killed a mole)
Lesson 20.
If you say Nĩ mũega you lose meaning. For people in general, we say nĩ mũega when referring to the third person singular. When referring to the first person, we say nĩ kũega. Examples:
Mũtũmia nĩ mũega.
(my wife is fine)
Gũtirĩ wairegi ũtũire.
