Hello, Learning Kikuyu.

My name is Kariuki wa Ndung'u, a native Kikuyu speaker from Central Province, Kenya, where the natives use the Kikuyu language in their day-to-day activities.

I'm a university graduate (Linguistics - English and African History) with a deep understanding of Kikuyu (the language I use most of the time except in my boss's office!) and I believe I've something to offer.

I've access to internet and therefore I believe communicating to you is not a problem. In addition, a friend (Karuri Waititu and Myself) have developed an e-learning platform called Mwalimu Pepe (Kiswahili for "Virtual Teacher") where I can be posting lessons and where you can monitor your progress. It's new but all the same, check it out at mpepe.net.

Ni wega, ni njetereire umenyithie kana no tuthii na mbere na guthoma ruthiomi ruru rwega na rwi cama rwa Gikuyu.

Thaai.

Kariuki wa Ndung'u,
Nairobi

I've no problem with you using Mpepe.net, though I've to make sure my partner, Karuri Waititu, is aware of such an arrangement. By tomorrow morning you'll have an idea how this will work out.

Please let me know where you need help concerning Kikuyu language. You can count on my help to bail you out there...

Thanks.

Kariuki wa Ndung'u

Do you charge for the courses you offer at your site cause if so,you can not advertise it here without following the proper procedures.

HEY! I know you posted this forever ago, but I'm an American Ph.D. student looking for a better Kikuyu/Gikuyu teacher and you seem to have all the qualifications. Please send me a message or e-mail.

Thanks!

To whoever is still troubled by it – like myself. This is to apologise to John for the story made up about him. It was a lie. I must have been high on something that day. Nobody tasted John’s tongue, nobody felt his ‘stiff’ one and ain’ no body see his ‘stiff’ one. ABOMINATION! How could one lie so much. So sorry John.

Also, I didn’t see John. How could I have known that he was in ug? John and Maria never got along.

Now, kariuki wa kihia and all the (*****s) like yourself, I hope you is pleased now. I have apologized. Am no sponge to absorb your insults. IT NEVER HAPPENED. Just another ****** story from a bored ****** girl.

Sorry.
