Ngatia, did you ever go ahead with this idea? How are you going about it anyway? There are already a couple of Gikuyu - English dictionaries making the rounds, some of which are the thinnest books you ever saw. What is actually needed is a gikuyu - gikuyu dictionary, which I might just do one day although I don't consider myself an expert on the language.
