The survey that was in the news the other day has sure sparked some fears in many parents and parents to be.
Kids losing their virginity at the age of 12? what is the world coming to? if i have my memory right i dont remember 'going anywhere near a girl' when i was that age. of course there was the usual child games like 'mchezo ya baba na mama' but the 'handshake' never went beyond the elbow.
Now, Ngunjiri you see why i was concerned when maria was asking if kids can go back to those traditional 'sexuality lessons' where they would get to learn more about each other's body.
The parents,however, can not sit back and pass the buck to the media.in many Nairobi homes-on sunday evenings- you will find the mummy glued to the tellie with the kids watching mexican soaps that exhibit how cool it is to kiss and cuddle and .....spend sometime together naked.This is how they teach their daughters,albeit indirectly, that masculine guys(wagithúri?) are cool and their sons that girls love sexy boys.
so the next thing a girl will do is to drool at the boy next door with nice physique while they boy will be doing rounds in the neighbourhood smilling at the girls and Boom!!! there goes their morals

imajin that single rm,at ua place and its hosting abt 5 members of the family.AS human beings father and mother must enjoy themselves without minding their 12 yrs old gal separated to them by a piece of curtain.

Parents are not free wit their daughters and sons.if ill ave children to experience this wacha nikuwe kapera for life.

the survey was even exaggerated coz if u go to a place like mtwapa kwa akina wagithuri even 10yrs gal are experts in this field thats the reality u like u or not.

I certainly would not think at it. That is the genesis of preversion. Next time the age will go down to 7, then 4, the 2, then seven months. There is no justification for this whatsoever.

i remember being uncomfy watching people kiss and cuddle on telly when i was young. But still,i could have crushes on boys at the age of 8(i am normal). I am not sure i ever did drool at any but there were those feelings. I think its natural for a 12 year old to feel like sex. what they need is self control.

I used to resent girls at that age. I remember the whole of primary school, it used to be so traumatising to be paired with a girl as your deskmate! Oh my I used to feel tormented, harassed, tortured if I was given a girl as my deskmate! Then that slowly changed when I joined high school and as they say, the rest is history!
