thank you Sajini, i appreciate this. you know,when i got on the bus to Nairobi, there was swahili like everywhere around me, my own neighbour didnt know any English! lucky for me i knew a bit of French so we communicated(he is from Rwanda). he helped me out a lot cuz i couldnt even buy myself a drink, unless the guy said,"50 bob" or "1,500".. Then, we got to Nairobi and it gets worse...
have you finished?........ help me with... when will i see you?....... are you fron Uganda?........ how long will you be staying in Kenya?....... are you travelling by your self?...... how much is it?......... what will you have to eat/ drink??......... it is far.... i'm going to sleep now.... no, i dont need it... yes, i have it.... she/he is called... is it sweet/ tastey.... i will not forget... how much?.... here is my ticket.... it's cold, let's have tea.... no, i'm not hungry....

Well it is almost similar thing I experienced in Kampala. People speak English or Luganda. I came across some people who did not speak English, but then I could not speak Luganda. Anyway, do not hesitate to ask anything. But say, why don't you like Swahili?
