talking matters that concern our kinsmen doesnt mean are being tribal.
i know you will all agree with me that since our man Kibaki took over from the man from Sacho, Kenya has seen great developments. Our man gave 'Autonomy' to the mps and his ministers and the greedy lot exploited all that freedom, hauling insults to the president at will.A disturbing aspect in our Man's style of 'ruling' is his loud silence when these mps and even kanjoras haul insults.my grandma always said that leaders are there to be respected.....I have noted lately how much Uhuru has matured politically(....or atleast i have) and every time bot stands to speak, i find myself glued to the telly listening to his intellectual speeches.the has gained skills.
Now that we have Our Very own two sons gunning for our support to clinch the top seat at 'thingira wa iregi' which way do we go?
i know voting is supposed and should be an individual decision....but two heads are better than one.'kiara kimwe gitiuragaga ndaa'
which way nyumba?

My opinion.
The sooner Kibaki is out of State house, the better for Kenya. He might mean well, but he need to flex his muscles to keep his wayward leutinants in check. His inaction is like an endorsement of what they have done. And Uhuru is no solution, his only agenda is to "acokie ruui mukaro" that is to the hause of Kenyatta.

To me, I dont care for "our man", if that man only need my support to protect what his family took from ordinary wananchi. How many times has Uhuru come out in support of the wanjiku's? Never!

I envisage a leader who is untainted by the past of corruption, irespective of ethnicity. a person who will have a vision of realising 'real' economic growth rather than just impressive statistics that hardly reflect what the wanjiku's are experiencing. Unfortunately, the Kalonzos, Railas, and Mudavadis are no solution either.

...Sajini you have enlightened me on one aspect, that we do not have to support 'our man' just because he is 'our own'.I also agree with you that UK has never taken to his heart matters of the poor and the opressed. You saw him go all the way to comfort Njoya's family when the gecko skinned tom chomlodey felled a squater(njoya) yet the boy's (uhuru) family has been doing that (though not with a riffle) every day in Taita Taveta and Oter parts of coastThe boy actually owns half of the province .....It is now that i realize its all in the blood of the Kenyattas to opress.
However, you will agree with me that no politician has ever had the interest of their constituents(read people) at their heart, not since the times of J.M Kariuki(R.I.P).....and they felled him.
must be a curse that we are yet to service fully.
So i think we are left to make do with what we have.Kickback1 cannot face the challanges.though his government had a liltle heart for the poor when it gave free primary school education...
the old man remains holed all day somewhere near the aboretum.
.....i think if UK entered the coalition with the Mungatana led Narc-k (to keep the boy in check) we would go somewhere further.....

I think the most worrying thing is,

WHO WILL BE NEXT?

TO:-
1. Care for the poor & marginalised
2. Speak out corruption & erradicate it.
3. Have foresight on social & economic growth
4. Defend the human rights of the poor.

And many many more others just to mention a few.

But the big question is !!!

WHO IS NEXT ?!!!

-Rose from Humble grounds.
-been in politics long enough without a
stain....trust the boy with your money
More than a decade in bunge, most of it
as a minister;not a single project
in his mwingi north constituent,
-vote him in and kenya will never move
a step ahead in development...

William Ruto; -Down to earth fellow.
-The boy earned his first formal
salary at 30.....as an MP
-Was among the boys who almost ruined
our economy by the YK92(500 jirongos)
yet he's been in politics for only
a few years; think what he could do
with TEN years

Najib Balala.-Where did the boy go to school?
-he's such a jerk

of kenyans.
- Arrogance redefined
Mama Ngilu- Spent force

Kickback1- The ideal man.
-Not a taint
-good record for his government.

That's it!! That was my point exactly.
I wanted it to come from you.

So nobody is next, ecxept the one who IS currently.

The economy is growing, the shilling is quite stable.

even though the common mwana-nchi doesn't feel it,sooner or later he'll do.It's just a matter of time.

"roma Ndiakirwo na muthenya umwe"

So :- wagithuri - Me one
Kariuki wa kihia - me two
Kariuki wa kariuki - me three
who's backing us up? !!!

C'mon lets be realistic

I still don't think Kibaki deserve another chance. For once he already burnt his bridges, and apart from the support from mount the Mt. Kenya people (excluding the Wamerus)I do not see him gaining any support from any other quarter. His chances are very slim and if Uhuru chances to stand, his chances will dim even further.

I sincerely believe Mwai is suffering healthwise, and since he still remains a general Kiguoya (no insult intended, he is unable to admit his weakness, Kenyans should do the merciful thing of voting him out for his own benefit, and that of Kenyans.

Statistics are really misleading, I really dont belive the economy is growing at that rate, and even if it is, if the rewards do not trickle to teh Wanjikus, all will be a hollow song. Ask Atal Behari Vajpayee, the former Indian Premier. He tried to ride on the wave of his government's superb economic performance. So confident was he, that he called for elections earlier, only to be humiliated by the voters who really didnt understand what his bragging about economic growth was all about. I can see the same happening to the son of Kibaki.

Very well sajini......i thot wanjiku's kids are now attending primary school free of charge!! Road carnage has hit an all time low,The police FORCE improved(yes improved) and even the west(where all the looted cash is stashed) is begining to ban corrupt goons all because they have some faith in our ailing kickback1......
so sajini, propose an alternative.say a list of those you would consider fit......

ALL economy indicaters have shown alot of improvement, the banks are making big profits, Idustries are being expanded to meet the demand, and by the way dont expect wanjiku to say she has something in his pocket, look for her indicaters, is she health ? does she have food ? how much is she getting from milk e.t.c
The likes of kalonzo,Raila,Mudavadi,U.K, BALALA,no one have an agenda for kenya they are just pawer hungly.so i say again kibaki tosha! lets judge him on 2012.

Kariuki wa Kihia,
The only reason that Wanjiku's kids are attending 'free' school is because Wanjiku is too poor to afford paying for quality education in private schools. In the process, she and her offspings are being confined to vicious circle of eternal damnation and misery. They are hoodwinked that the Big brother is taking care of them, while they are giving with the right hand but stealing with the left. As the children of rich parents return better grades, they proceed to nice high schools and finally climb the academic ladder to university at the expense of Wanjiku's brood. Don't you see how this is perpetuating the whole circle of inequality by propagating unequal wealth distribution?

And the travel ban on corruption goons is happening because our institution will let them go scot free. Had Ringera, or our police done their job, there would be no need for Washington or UK to ban these corrupt figures. Isn't it a shame that we applaud when forein powers do what we can do better?

It is not that police improved on corruption, it is that other departments became more corrupt.

But there is one thing I will agree with you though, I have no one to propose for the time being.

Wagithuri,
I am surprised that you trust the figures, when all they have done changing the way they calculate the economic figures. It remind me of a time when the Bush administration redefined the term "industry" to include small scale stores. This way, they could claim that the economy had posted improved performance.

The banks may make big profits, but these are the same banks that have kept their services beyond the reach of Wanjiku, and when they allow her to invest, they milk her to her last drop of blood. Why then should I celebrate their unjustified profits, especially considering that majority of them are multinationals with no real attachment to our beloved Kenyan?

Wagithuri,
Umenipata... my rejection of Kibaki and Uhuru does not mean I am endorsing the other Wannabes in the breakaway narc. However, all I am asking is that we should not restrict our choices to these guys. A good guy might just present himself or herself, and if we have already narrowed down on Uhuru or Kibaki, we will not give him/her a chance to stake a claim.

Let us keep our eyes open, however, if no one rises up to the challenge, then we shall be forced to chose the lesser of the devils we know, sadly.

...though i also feel that as much as we would like to leave our minds(and hearts too) open, we should not leave them so wide open to accomodate even those who would mess our country up.
Lets saveguard our economy and our democracy(Mugambe got power as a young guy,we all know what a terrible mess Zimbabwe is.There are some young guys(some of whom we know their records-like ruto, and we dont want Kenya to be like Benin,Gambia or Liberia.)
....if we could get a young man like Paul Kagame.....
