Sajini, your site excludes Uganda why?? arent we also swahili speakers(well,in truth we are not) but we too are east africans. they mention all the countries surrounding us ..kenya,tanzania, zaire,..and no Uganda!! its not fair maybe you people feel we are different. maybe you dont want us to be like you i am so sad.i dont even feel like visiting the site anymore.
maria , am aware that there is a good number of ugandans who speak swahili and i hope the number is growing since we have become one region.so i dont see why you can be excluded.
No Maria, It is not my site, it is a site which I believe is moderated by person from Tanzania. . My guess is that he took the three countries with the highest number of Swahili speakers. Tanzania (around 30 millions) Kenya (around 25 millions) DRC (around 20 millions). In uganda, they say it is between 5-10 millions. So you can see there is a significant number.
I agree that his three flags are misleading. It is unfortunate that he excludes Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi, Comoros, Northern Malawi, Northern Mozambique etc.
But this is only one person's oversight which should not drive you away from Swahili.
